The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Cape Coast North constituency, Horace Ekow Ewusi has mocked the Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama’s commitment to complete agenda 111 hospitals to create employment opportunities for the graduate nurses.
“It is so funny somebody has been in power for all these years and couldn’t even think of agenda 111 but is now saying when he comes back he is going to employ graduate nurses,” he teased.
Ekow Ewusi observed that the opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) doubted agenda 111 hospitals but is dreaming of recruiting graduate nurses for the same facilities
He therefore indicated that the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana who doubles as the Flagbearer of the NPP. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia who thought of agenda 111 hospitals will be the best person to implement it but not Mahama”.
During a campaign tour of the Cape Coast Nursing Training College, while accompanying the Second Lady Hajia Samira Bawumia, he promised to resolve the water problems of the institution.
He appealed to the students and the people of Cape Coast North to show him and Dr. Bawumia some love with their thumbs on December 7, 2024.
On her part, the Second Lady, Mrs Samira Bawumia said the NPP government is investing in the future of young people while others cancel training allowances.
She assured the trainee nurses that they would be employed after their training stating ‘This is why Dr. Bawumia is promising innovative leadership’.
The Central Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan noted “NPP’s massive developmental projects across the country are a manifestation that on the 7th of December, the NPP led by Dr. Bawumia is going to be the president of this nation and Ekow Ewusi will be the MP for Cape Coast North constituency.”
“I am encouraged by your enthusiasm and your support for the NPP government and indeed say that this government has been faithful to all of us especially you the students nurses because somebody came and cancelled training colleges allowance but NPP restored,” she disclosed.
