The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has officially released a detailed roadmap for its 2026 internal elections, setting the stage for a nationwide reorganization from the polling station level to the constituency tier.
The comprehensive guidelines, announced on February 18, 2026, come weeks after the party’s presidential primaries on January 31. General Secretary Justin Frimpong Kodua outlined the timelines for membership registration, verification, nominations, vetting and elections — a process expected to reshape the party’s grassroots structure ahead of the next electoral cycle.
Membership Registration Begins March 1
According to the official document, the internal process will commence with a nationwide membership registration exercise throughout March 2026.
“The process of registration of members will start from March 1 to 31, 2026. The data entry of members who have been registered will be between April 1 and April 10, 2026. After the data entry, there will be verification of its members from April 14 to 16, 2026,” Kodua stated.
