Ibrahim Mahama to convert old private jet into national emergency air ambulance after acquiring Bombardier Global 6500

Ghanaian businessman and Founder and CEO of Engineers and Planners, Ibrahim Mahama, has announced plans to convert his old private jet into a national emergency air ambulance following the acquisition of a brand-new aircraft.

The announcement comes after he purchased a Bombardier Global 6500 on Tuesday, March 3, 2026.

According to Mahama, the jet he previously used will now be repurposed into an emergency air ambulance accessible to all Ghanaians. The aircraft was originally purchased in 2024, with delivery completed in February 2026.

In a brief 13-second video shared on X on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, a journalist asked about the future use of the old jet.

“My old plane is now an air ambulance. Emergency air ambulance for every Ghanaian, not for me alone,” he stated.
