The South Dayi District Office of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) in partnership with Women and Children Network Development Foundation (WCNDF), a Non-Governmental Organization, organized a mass registration exercise at the Peki and Tongor communities.
The NGO fully funded the two-day exercise which generated One Thousand, Four Hundred and Twenty Two (1,422) fresh registrations and renewals of expired membership status.
Rev. Akushika Quarshie, who is the founder of WCNDF, in an interview said her organization invests in projects which improves the wellbeing of the vulnerable populations, particularly, women and children.
She encouraged people to take advantage of MyNHIS App and Mobile Renewal service platforms and do self, multiple registrations as well as membership renewals.
She also praised the NHIS management team for the rapid response to the organization’s request.
The Public Relations Officer of the South Dayi District NHIS, Mr Richard Kporha who supervised the exercise commended the NGO for the humanitarian service and called for its continuation in other underserved communities.
The team educated people on the Scheme’s Benefit Package, members rights and responsibilities, complaints procedures, MyNHIS App and Mobile Renewal service platforms practice.
