Action Room Summit Unites Professionals to Chart New Development Path for Anlo Afiadenyigba

Anlo Afiadenyigba, Volta Region – April 4, 2026 —

A new chapter in the development journey of Anlo Afiadenyigba was opened on Saturday, April 4, 2026, when natives of the town from varied professional backgrounds gathered for the maiden Action Room Summit, a community-driven initiative designed to mobilize the intellectual, professional, and social capital of citizens toward the transformation of the town.

The summit, which attracted traditional authorities, public servants, security personnel, educationists, health professionals, planners, entrepreneurs, youth, and community members, was convened by a team led by Mr. Jordan Dodoo and Prof. Edem Kwasi Bakah. They were ably assisted by Mr. Francis Yayra Kaledzi, Mr. Evans Yevu-Agbi, Mr. Hope Dekorn, Mama Diawor Zorfuaxanyi II, and Miss Faith Xoese Kuedofia.

 

The central objective of the summit was to bring together natives of Anlo Afiadenyigba who possess expertise in different sectors of national life and channel their knowledge, influence, and experience into practical development solutions for the town.

 

A Call for Unity and Collective Action

Delivering one of the keynote addresses, Prof. Edem Kwasi Bakah emphasized the urgent need for unity among citizens of Anlo Afiadenyigba. He noted that many communities make progress when their people intentionally come together to identify challenges, pool resources, and work collectively toward solutions.

According to him, Anlo Afiadenyigba possesses immense human resource potential, and if properly coordinated, the town can witness rapid progress in education, infrastructure, youth development, health, and economic empowerment.

He therefore called on all natives, both home and abroad, to embrace the spirit of togetherness and actively contribute their quota to the advancement of their hometown.

 

Vision, Courage and Discipline as Pillars of Progress

Leading convener Mr. Jordan Dodoo inspired participants with a presentation on Vision, Courage, and Discipline, which he described as three indispensable pillars for personal success and community transformation.

He challenged citizens to cultivate a clear vision for the future of Anlo Afiadenyigba, demonstrate courage in confronting long-standing developmental problems, and maintain discipline in executing projects and responsibilities.

Mr. Dodoo further stressed that no meaningful development can occur without committed leadership, consistency, accountability, and sacrifice.

 

Chairman Praises Initiative

Chairman for the summit, Mr. Emmanuel K. Keteku, commended the conveners for what he described as a bold and timely initiative. He said the decision to assemble the town’s professionals under one platform to discuss development issues was laudable and worthy of support.

He expressed confidence that if the conveners remained united and strategic in their operations, the Action Room Summit would become one of the most impactful interventions in the history of the town.

 

Traditional Authority Endorses Summit

The Dufia of Anlo Afiadenyigba, Togbi Kadzahlo Drabese IV, expressed joy over the formation of the summit and blessed the initiative.

He urged the conveners and all stakeholders to uphold honesty, diligence, humility, and commitment in the discharge of their responsibilities. According to the chief, integrity and unity would be critical if the summit is to achieve its long-term objectives.

Togbi Kadzahlo Drabese IV further stated that he envisions the annual summit becoming the principal gateway through which Anlo Afiadenyigba secures sustainable development for generations to come.

 

Government Pledges Support

The Municipal Chief Executive for Keta, Hon. Wisdom Bondieu Seade, also addressed the gathering and pledged the support of the government for the annual summit.

He assured participants that his office remains open to the conveners and that the Municipal Assembly would be willing to collaborate on initiatives that align with the development aspirations of the town.

As a demonstration of goodwill and commitment, Hon. Seade donated GHC 2,000.00 toward the success of the programme.

 

Experts Deliver Insightful Presentations

The summit also featured presentations by distinguished sons and daughters of the town on critical issues affecting community development.

Madam Janet Seyram Vordzorgbe spoke on Women and Girls Empowerment, stressing the need to invest in female education, mentorship, economic independence, and leadership opportunities.

ACP Alfred Kudah delivered a presentation on Discipline and Law Enforcement, highlighting the importance of lawfulness, order, and civic responsibility in building a progressive society. He also donated GHC 1,000.00 to support the summit.

Dr. Mark Mishiwo examined the decline in education and proposed practical strategies to revive academic excellence, including stronger parental involvement, teacher motivation, student mentorship, and improved learning culture.

Mr. Selorme Azumah educated participants on Reproductive Health, while Togbi Akamu V encouraged the youth to embrace Entrepreneurship as a pathway to economic independence.

The Keta Municipal Planning Officer, Mr. Bryan Bennett Appo, presented on the Spatial Planning of Anlo Afiadenyigba, explaining the need for orderly land use, planned expansion, and future infrastructure mapping.

Mr. Chris Justice Dovor also addressed the summit on Financial Records Keeping, stressing transparency, documentation, and prudent financial management in all community projects.

Major Resolutions Adopted

At the end of deliberations, participants unanimously resolved that the Action Room Summit should become an annual event to sustain dialogue, accountability, and developmental planning.

It was further agreed that fifteen commissions, each headed by commissioners and deputy commissioners, should be established and inaugurated to coordinate specific sectors of development in the town.

These commissions are expected to focus on strategic areas such as education, health, youth empowerment, infrastructure, sanitation, finance, security, investment, culture, and community welfare.

 

Looking Ahead to 2027

The successful maiden edition of the summit has generated optimism among citizens and stakeholders that Anlo Afiadenyigba is entering a new era of organized, people-centered development.

The next Action Room Summit is scheduled to take place in 2027, where progress made on resolutions and commission activities is expected to be reviewed.
